David Hockney became intrigued with the challenge of depicting the reflection and movement of light in water, so he started painting the bottom of swimming pools with apostrophe shaped lines.
Cari spends a lot of time in the summer mesmerized by the reflection caustics at the bottom of her neighborhood lap pool, and it was during one of these swims that inspired her to make socks dedicated to Hockey.
