During the fading hours of the day our juniper groves become truly radiant as the dappled light of sunset filters through their scrubby branches, onto the trail, and ourselves. On a ride last winter Cari snapped a photo of dappled light hitting my shirt and commented that it would make a cool pattern for a cycling jersey. And so began our journey on our Juniper Dapple Jerseys with Ocean & San, a Los Angeles-based cycling apparel company.
The result is a jersey for almost any kind of riding outside a paceline. Ideal for MTB, gravel rides, casual spins, or even commuting, this top has a super soft hand-feel. It is snag-resistant, quick-drying, anti-odor, and antimicrobial, thanks to the specific properties of the Polycotton DriRelease blend construction.
The Juniper Dapple disruptive pattern is sublimated by hand in Los Angeles, meaning that each garment has a unique pattern layout: no two jerseys are the same (please note: the color shift between the long sleeve and short sleeve is the result of the different lighting scenarios. The sunny shots showcase these jerseys’ true color cast).
